Sample Applications

The main source of sample applications and all other technical help is the Resource Hub. A Resource Hub window is opened automatically in the Studio when it’s first started. If this window has been closed it can be re-opened with Help > Resource Hub. Most samples and other items in the Resource Hub can be downloaded and installed into the Studio – by clicking on Downloads at the top of each item page.

The Resource Hub can also be accessed using: vault.verj.io

Another source of technical help is the Verj.io Forum: forum.verj.io

Sample REST Services

Two sample REST services are shipped in the VerjSamples project in folder Modules/API:

• sampleRESTService: an example of a published REST service
• sampleGatewayService: the same as sampleRESTService but published as a Gateway REST Service (these are only accessible from Gateway Remote Servers)

Sample Presentation Templates

A Presentation Template controls all aspects of styling – equivalent to a “skin”. The default template is configured using File > Preferences > General – this default template is then used when a new form is created. Change the template used by an individual form using Form Properties > Presentation.

The following sample templates are included in the VerjSamples project:

• bootstrap4: From Verj.io V5.4 this is the default template and, as the name implies, this template is based on Bootstrap V4 which provides an extensive styling framework with responsive page and mobile-first design built in. For more information on using this template follow the tracks in the Resource Hub, and see Using Bootstrap Styling. The latest version of this template can be downloaded into your workspace from the Resource Hub.

• xiDefault: this was the default template up until V5.4. It contains out-of-the-box styling for all controls which is fairly conservative and designed for general purpose use. However this template does not generate responsive web pages.

• Other Templates: a number of other legacy templates are also included
